a part of Civilization that students were familiar to throughout their career as students at the English Department.
What makes this module special and different from the other Civilization modules , is that it tends to study Civilization from a new perspective. It is neither American nor British, Rather it is a study to global affairs in a contemporary era. In this module , students are supposed to learn the most important events that took place in the 20th century in different parts in the globe (Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America) with an emphasis on the Cold War era and its aftermath. Concentration will be also on the role played by the United States and the Soviet Union to dominate world affairs and politics.
