This course of Algerian Literature is designed to introduce students to Algerian Literature. The course overviews the different stages which Algerian Literature has gone through. We will read articles and chapters on both colonial and postcolonial Algerian literary genres. Please note that this is not a practicum but a foundation course to inform your pedagogy and theoretical knowledge even though you are asked to write on a certain literary work.
