Options d'inscription

This course aims at teaching students to be familiar with texts and scientific publications in English.  The program I proposed is mainly based on a very popular book 'English for chemists'.

At the end of this classes, students should be able to read and write more easily in English, as this course includes  Vocabulary, Terminology and  Grammar.

Content of the course:

Unit 2 CHEMISTRY  What is Chemistry? Plural in English /  Fundamental Concepts of Chemistry

 Unit 3 LABORATORY  Laboratory Equipment /Countable and Uncountable Nouns /Alchemy 

Unit 4 PERIODIC TABLE  Periodic Table /Consist, Contain, Include/  Chemical Elements /British v. American English

Unit 5 MATTER  States of Matter /Revision of Tenses/  Passive Voice

Unit 6 INORGANIC CHEMISTRY  Types of Inorganic Chemical Reactions/  Inorganic

Nomenclature/  Phrasal Verbs 

 Unit 7 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY  10 Carbon Facts/   Adjectives/  Organic Nomenclature/  Word Order 
Unit 8 ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY  Environmental Chemistry VS Green Chemistry /Twelve Principles of Green Chemistry /Hazard Symbols/  Relative Pronouns
