After introducing Doctoral researchers to different theories of International Relations and their competing and opposing perspectives, this semester researchers will adopt each theory, respectively, as a theoretical framework to act as a lens through which can critically evaluate the case of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. By the end of this academic year, political science researchers should be able to: demonstrate an understanding of the multiple and complex range of theories. Importantly, they would be able to ground their research on established theories  and evaluate their research in an evidence-based academic manner.
