This course is designed to introduce students to the history and politics of the contemporary world.

Students will learn about some of the important political, economic, social, intellectual, cultural and religious changes that have shaped the development of recent world civilization.

At this stage students are expected to be familiar with world contemporary history and politics from a variety of perspectives and in the World's regions including:

III. Contemporary Middle East and North Africa

VI. African Contemporary History

V. Globalization: End of the Cold War and a new Global Era
