The course aims at introducing first year students to the fundamentals of academic writing. The course covers topics like process writing, plagiarism, referencing styles, paraphrasing / summarizing/ quoting techniques, and oral presentation skills. At the end of this course, students will be able to differentiate between formal and informal writing and when to use each one of them. Furthermore, they will start to develop their academic writing skills.
