African Literature
course includes many rich works of the literature
of Sub-Saharan African countries in English. This course provides
you with useful knowledge about the history, politics, intellectual traditions and
cultural heritage of the diverse societies within which the literature is produced. It
aims to introduce students to some of the key concepts and ideas in African
literature, equipping them with both close-reading and contextual skills, as African writers often reflect on the role of
literature in society.
