This course will address the fundamental aspects of the major physiological functions of plants. It will be structured into tow parts: growth and developement on the one hand, and mineral and carbon nutrition on the other.

This subject covers two main aspects: the first provides some basic notions about the environment (ecosystem concepts, trophic relationships among species, climate change, types of pollution, natural resources, etc.). The second aspect addresses the emergence of the concept of sustainable development, a new global vision to address the current convergence of major ecological, economic, and societal challenges worldwide.

Objectives
The aim is to raise awareness that it is possible to act for environmental preservation through one's education, as well as at an individual level, by reflecting on consumption patterns, daily activities, and societal roles. The student will have the opportunity to learn about and experiment with their understanding of sustainable development
