The Comprehension and Written Expression module focuses on the fundamentals of sentence construction and clear writing in English. The course begins by establishing a solid grammatical foundation, examining parts of speech, and moving from words to well-formed sentences. Students will learn to identify and correct common sentence errors, including fragments, run-on sentences, and faulty structures.

Building on this, the module introduces different sentence types, both by function and form, to help students vary their writing style. The second part of the course focuses on moving from a single correct sentence to organizing and developing a complete, coherent paragraph. Emphasis is placed on logical structure, clarity, and the connection between ideas.

Throughout the course, reading exercises support writing development by helping students analyze how effective texts are constructed. Consistent practice and structured feedback will help students enhance their ability to express ideas clearly and confidently in written English.
