
This module introduces EFL students to the basic principles, concepts, and practices of English language teaching. It offers a comprehensive understanding of didactics as both a scientific discipline and a practical field. The focus is on the relationship between the teacher, the learner, and the learning context.
Throughout the course, students will explore the history of didactics and look at how effective teaching results from the interaction of different teaching elements. These elements include objectives, content, methods, and media. In addition, various approaches, methods, and techniques in EFL teaching are introduced. It also covers curriculum design, types of syllabi, and principles for selecting and organizing content.
Students will have the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for teaching English in various educational settings.
