Course Objectives
This course aims to provide students with a profound understanding of the basic principles of heredity established by Gregor Mendel, as well as the complex mechanisms that modulate gene expression. The goal is to master the analysis of genetic crosses, understand gene-gene and gene-environment interactions, and apply this knowledge to the study of traits in domestic animals and genetic improvement programs.
