Chapter III: Cytogenetics – Chromosome Structure, Function, and Abnormalities
Course Objectives
This chapter is dedicated to the study of chromosomes, their organization within the cell, and their behavior during cell division. Students will gain a deep understanding of the cell cycle, the processes of mitosis and meiosis, and how chromosomal alterations can lead to pathologies. The course also covers essential techniques used in cytogenetics for genome analysis.
